RTD Awareness Month
November is Riboflavin Transporter Deficiency Awareness Month! Be a part of the worldwide effort.
During November we encourage families and friends around the world to join together, use their voices, and raise awareness about the challenges and hopes of the RTD community.
How can you get involved?
Getting involved can be as simple as sharing our links and messages on social media, or taking the time to talk to neighbors, friends, co-workers and community. This year we’re connecting with RTD advocates around the world, and social media is the quickest and easiest way to be a part of this worldwide RTD effort. Simply post a photo or video of you, your friend, relative or child with RTD, using hashtag #cureRTD. Let the world know that you support someone with RTD.
Educating your local community is very important as it can make day-to-day life much easier for those affected. In addition to sharing your story on social media, another easy way to spread the word in your community is to do an interview for your local newspaper or contact a local radio station and let them know you or a family member has a rare neurological disorder and that November is dedicated to raising awareness for research of better treatments and cures.
Want to do more? Holding a fundraiser is yet another powerful way to get involved, and serves to both raise awareness and fund research that will help find a cure for RTD.
